Relax and Reclaim Sleep with MetaSleep
MetaSleep is formulated with Noble Kava root extract known as KavatonTM and sustained release melatonin to
facilitate a tranquil, calm state to help reset the body’s natural sleep-wake cycle and increase the total sleep
time. Sustained released melatonin mimics the natural 8 hours of sleep pattern, releasing 50% melatonin in
the first hour, with subsequent release per hour in smaller doses and finally tapering off after 6 hours.
Melatonin: The Sleep Hormone
What is melatonin? How does melatonin work in the body?6
Melatonin is a hormone produced by the pineal gland in the brain at night. It regulates the sleep-wake
cycle, signaling to your body when it’s time to wind down and prepare for sleep. It synchronizes the
circadian rhythm by affecting the melatonin receptors present in the suprachiasmatic nucleus
(SCN; the master clock) of the hypothalamus.
Kava Root Extract: Nature’s Calming Companion
What is kava? How does kava work in the body?7
Kava, derived from the root of the Piper methysticum plant, has been used for centuries in traditional medicine for
its calming properties. Kava contains compounds known as kavalactones, which interact with neurotransmitters
in the brain, in particular GABA. These kavalactones exert an anxiolytic activity and can modulate GABA receptors
to induce calming effects on the nervous system, promoting relaxation without sedation.8
Through the synergy of these two ingredients in a single supplement, your patients can experience restful
nights, allowing them to wake up each morning feeling refreshed and revitalized.
