DESCRIPTION
Selenium is a trace mineral; it is a very important antioxidant, essential for the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase. It works in synergy with vitamin E. Selenium prevents the formation of free radicals which may lead to disease.
Selenium increases the levels of glutathione peroxidase, which helps to reduce lipoperoxidation. Selenium may improve energy levels and help in the process of aging by attacking free radicals.
Selenium is needed for pancreatic function and tissue elasticity. It is essential for reproduction; some studies have shown that selenium deficiency results in infertility. Sperm cells contain high amounts of selenium. Considerable amounts are lost during sexual intercourse; for this reason, selenium necessity is higher in men than women.
DIRECTIONS OF USE
Adults 19 years and older: Take 1 capsule daily or as directed by your health-care practitioner.

Contains no: Gluten, soy, wheat, eggs, dairy, yeast, citrus, preservatives, artificial flavour or colour, starch, or sugar.
Cautions and warnings: Consult a health-care practitioner prior to use if you have a history of non‑melanoma skin cancer.
