Commonly known as sweet wormwood, “Qinghao”, Artemisia annua has been used as a basic ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine due to its many therapeutic properties. Artemisinin, the main component of A. Annua, has been widely used as an antimalarial drug.
The Artemisia plant besides artemisinin, contains other bioactives such as sesquiterpene lactones, which could have antihelminthic properties. In addition to these properties, artemisinin has also been studied in a number of different disease models, such as those for rheumatoid arthritis, [3,4] nephritic syndrome, [5] pancreatitis [6] and lupus nephritis, [7] with promising results.
Artemisinin SAP can be used as a digestive aid supported by its traditional use in phytotherapy as a bitter tonic. [1,2]

Directions for use
